I use an older (P3/512mb) system running XP for general-purpose computing. In order to play the downloaded MP4 I needed to update Quicktime to v7x. Unfortunately its demands are beyond what my system can produce.

1) Can anyone recommend an alternate MP4 player that is less demanding?
2) Are there plans to port the MP4's to an alternative lower-end format (such as WMV or MOV) more friendly to old-dog PCs?
