When the carbon microphone is described, a picture of a condenser is shown.
When the SM58 is presented, we see Allan Parsons singing into a different microphone.
And when AKG dynamics are featured, one of the mics shown is an Electro-Voice.

Also, it is said that ALL ribbons have figure-8 characteristics - from the onset they do, but e.g. the Beyer M160 is hypercardiod, and has captured classic rock sounds for Eddie Kramer etc.

High frequency loss in cables is mentioned in relation to mics and (secondly) electric guitars, though the problem is a lot bigger with high impedance pickups than with low impedance mics!

The 'phase' button really changes polarity, which could have been mentioned.

I fear that these small issues may confuse the beginner, at which this section seems to be aimed.
