Agenda
Immersive Audio is an open and moving target. With its overarching purpose of placing the listener in an 'immersive' virtual sphere, with sound appearing to emanate from the sides, front and back, and above, it is currently represented by multiple technologies, the most visible being Dolby and Atmos, which has been embraced by Apple Music.
There are almost 40 additional platforms and products you can use to create immersive music, some of whom specialize in particular applications such as live sound / installation, game audio, and VR/AR.
This is an exciting but unavoidably complex picture as technologies - and their resultant new markets and applications - coalesce or fragment.
This Webinar is a discussion between users and proponents representing most every stripe (sound engineering and mixing, creatives, music distribution, mastering, education, media) to gauge 'where we are' in terms of products and platforms, and 'where we're headed' in terms of applications and uses.
The panel will each talk about their experiences and projections for the future, which will be followed by an open Q&A between attendees and panelists.
