Hi i'm from Italy so my english is not so good, however i wanna share with you one of my trick for tuning the kick drum.
On the head of kick i put a powerstroke with ultra low tension: pull the remo until the screws do not move with shots.
I pull the resonant (power stroke or ambassador it is the same...) until the resonant sound the first note and from there yet I give him half a turn each rod.

The result? I have the greatest air moviment from the head and the resonant remo give me the best low note.

It's easy! Easy.

For mitigate the resonance tone inside the kick i put a cushion that touch both remo.
