Alan Parsons Sessions At Guitar Centers

Dateline Dec 10th 2010: As part of the series’ DVD release, Alan Parsons made a series of in-store appearances with his Alan Parsons Live Project band, interleaving live performances of some of his classic tracks such as Eye In The Sky and Games People Play with a live interview and Q&A session with the audience.

Coinciding with the AES show in San Francisco, Alan performed at the Guitar Center location on Geary St. and was interviewed by the recently appointed editor of EQ Magazine, Sarah Jones.

ASSR Exhibits At Winter NAMM, Jan 13-16 2011

Dateline Dec 10th 2010: KEYFAX NewMedia, producers of the Art & Science Of Sound Recording will be exhibiting at the Winter NAMM Show in Anaheim, California Jan 13-16 2011.

Primarily a ‘trade show’ for musical instrument, software, and pro audio dealers and media, this year the show is increasing the availability of Yellow “Sunday Only” Badges for “non-industry guests.”

From Aug 16th the 'Batch' sales will also close since these had been created simply based upon the order in which Sections were being posted online.

Announcing ASSR Education License

The producers are pleased to introduce ASSR Education License.

ASSR Education License provides multi-student access to the material contained in The Art & Science Of Sound Recording, complete with tutor-access to a student's performance in Section Quizzes. The Quizzes have been widely recognized as powerful reinforcers of the knowledge contained in each Section.

All Sections now available online

Almost two years in the making, the complete set of videos for The Art & Science Of Sound Recording has gone live online, July 2010.

The series, which comprises twenty-four Sections, is currently offering a free stream of the Introduction – A Brief History Of Recording – to all those registering on the website.

Batch 3 On Its Way!

Dateline: April 6th 2010. Santa Cruz: The third batch of Sections, totaling almost 21/2 hours of brand new material from the ASSR series, will be released online week ending April 9th 2010.

Second Batch due for release!

Dateline: January 30th 2010. Santa Cruz: The second batch sections from the ASSR series is due to be released online the week of Feb 12 2010.

The new sections, all featuring narration by the inimitable Billy Bob Thorton, individually examine the topics of Studio Acoustics, Consoles and Controllers, Digital Audio and Computers, Monitoring, Microphones, recording Keyboards, and recording Bass. Details of each include:

Dateline: December 11th 2009. Santa Cruz: After almost two years in production, the first sections from Alan Parsons’ highly anticipated living encyclopedia on sound recording are being made available for streaming and digital download.

GRAMMY Museum location for An Introduction To Recording

Dateline: November 17th. Los Angeles: Nominated for no less than thirteen GRAMMYs over his career to date, Alan Parsons felt very much at home during October’s filming session at the GRAMMY Museum, a backdrop for the first section: An Introduction To Recording.
