there seems to be an error in the quiz, lowering the threshold on a gate will let more signal though (as it takes less level to open the gate), however the opposite answer is presented as correct!

This section alone is worth the price I paid for the DVDs! There was like a black hole in my technical knowledge, not being a pro nor having taken lessons. Now all I want to do for my next recordings is make multitrack recordings of the drumkit and just use the appropriate noise gate FX before I can play with the mix, reverbs, etc.

I don't know who first had the idea of making those DVDs, but even though I paid a good price for it, I want to say Thank you!

After viewing the video on the noise gates, which was excellent by the way, I realised that I didn't have an application for this for my D.A.W. Must say I have never used a software one before and have to deal with a lot lot of cutting and pasting. which does take time and can cause other problems in some instances.
I have been using "Samplitude & Sonar XL as my choice of D.A.W but both do not come supplied with a noise-gate software application.

you can explan to begginer how in cubase you put a sidechain ... (ex with the keyboard and guitar tremolo effect).

you don't show the freq windows sidechain ( to gate the drum)

I'm getting audio sync problems with the downloaded mp4. Also digital glitches in the video. So far only on the Gate video. Please let me know if there is a fix version I can download.
