I downloaded the six sections and they are wonderful. I successfully took 3 of the 6 test on the first night. I wish to take the remaining 3 and am having trouble accessing them.
Thanks
I think, from your Points score, you must have now been able to access the quizzes. Nice total - a lot of people who worked on the series didn't even score this high!
Thanks for the help. One other small issue. I successfully downloaded the noise gates mp4 a couple days ago. Something must of gotten mucked up during the downloading process, because the audio is out of sync and drops out after a few minutes. Might I be allowed to re-download that file?
I love what you guys are doing!
You now have access to download the file again. This was an issue with the file that was fixed several days ago. Go ahead and download using the My purchases page to the right.
You can get back to the quizzes from the home page by clicking on the Take The Quiz link. Provided you're logged in everything will just run smoothly whenever you're ready to do it.
I just joined a few days ago, but, let me say this information is fantastic! I have already learned so much from the 4 out of 6 videos I've seen. This information has me feeling much more secure in my mixing already after applying some of the techniques recommended. But I still cannot take the Delay quiz. It reads "Quiz for delay not available".
There seems to be an error in one of the MIDI questions (it was #9) for me. Or I was wrong on an earlier one--they are mutually exclusive, I think. No big deal, I got 90%. Just making a report :)
The way I did this was by cutting a secound off the begining of my recorded audio of the drums, marking and writing down the exact starting position of this track. I then zoomed in and slid the track to the left so it was in perfect time with the midi track (trial and error). Once I was happy with the result I was able get an exact measurement of the amount I had slid it to the left. This amount then was used to silde each recorded track back into exact position. I noticed Alan didn't elaborate on the prcedure to fix latency so this info could be of some use to anybody with the same problem. As the G-tracks is a seperate audio PC device (like a sound card) it was easily accomplised.
first of all a big compliment as for the videos are g r e a t!
Two days ago I bought the streaming versions of mixing 1, mixing 2 and comps and limiters. Unfortunately in the end when I clicked on "Take a quiz" there was on error message. Is there a way to access those quizzes?
Honestly you'll get much better results from an outboard gate. Cubase does have internal gates, as does ProTools, but you'll get a much more organic and true sound if you use outboard gear like Drawmer. Of course, this costs money so if you are just looking for easy recording with what you have I would recommend ProTools over Cubase but it honestly comes down to user preference.
Thanks for taking care of this.
