I'm getting back to recording and am remodeling my studio to produce in 2014.

This (ASSR) site seems abandoned. There appears to be few posts past June of 2013, very few "products" to purchase, and no master class schedule for 2014.

I check back and log in periodically. Other than describing the DVD series is there any value/purpose to this site?

Did the idea not take off, or am I just missing something?

Hi Gary,

You're sort of right and wrong! The site as it currently is was designed to present and launch ASSR a few years ago now. As time has gone on ASSR has developed in a number of ways, most significantly, the Education License and MCTS live events. A (fully revised) book of the series has also been written, which will be coming out shortly.

However, we admit that the site does not really reflect these developments and we are in the process of doing just that.

At the moment we don't have an actual schedule to announce but I think it's pretty safe to say there will be a revamped site by early 2014 at the very latest.

Meantime, as was always the intention when we created this video series, the most important aspect of the program to 'take off' or develop, is you, the viewer. We hope that this material will continue to help new musicians, engineers and producers, and help inspire or rekindle ideas or approaches for those striding down those paths already.

As for MCTSs, there will not be any further dates in 2013 but we are looking at 2014 of course and will hopefully have dates to announce when the new site is launched. MCTS events are extremely complex to put together and will always be somewhat special and rare, which is probably at least part of their appeal!

Hope this answers your questions. Please feel free to respond with any recommendations you might have for the future too.

Looking forward to a return to active

Very much enjoyed the DVDs. I think I will be getting lots of useful informaton from them for much time. I was familiar with Alan from his albums in the 80s which I always enjoyed. I was not familiar with his engineering credits. Dark Side has always been a favorite so i was quite impressed. Anyway - I hope to see the site come bacl to life. This could be very useful…….
