Video Download quality vs DVD ?

Hi,
I'd be interested to know the video & audio specs of the video download files, if they are HD and how they compare to the DVD.
Could I load the downloaded files into iTunes and then watch them on my TV via my AppleTV ?
I t would be great if this is possible.

Hi midifirst,

The files are MP4- container movies. Specifically (~2000 kbps data rate) H.264 video @ 23.98 fps, 1024 x 576 pixels and AAC stereo audio. The ASSR downloads will play just fine on your Apple TV (1st or 2nd generation) and I believe AirPlay also works.

You can also sync the video downloads to your iPad or iPhone - I just tried this and the quality looks great on the iPad screen!
