I think I have a difficulty with a result I got on the noise gates quiz.

On the question "on a noise gate, a low threshold setting", the "correct" answer is given as "lets less signal through". My difficulty here is that the threshold is measured in dB, and a threshold setting of -20dB will let more signal through the gate than a threshold setting of
-10dB. -20dB is a lower setting than -10dB.

It may be that on some noise gates the threshold knob turns counter-clockwise for a higher setting, and clockwise for a lower setting, but in all cases I'm aware of and can imagine, the lower threshold setting (as indicated on the numeric scale on the unit) will let more signal through the gate, not less. I hope that I can be credited with a quiz point for that question, and ideally that the question will be corrected, or at least its intention will be made more clear.

Thanks.
