When I first purchased the downloads, I wasn't aware that they were set up with an expiration date. I learned this later on while browsing the site.
I would have preferred a more explicit warning that the content I purchased would expire!
I loved the series and found it very useful, but this is a ding to the project in my mind. I don't have experience with another site putting an expiration date on purchased content. I'm sure there are good reasons for it, but I think it should be more clearly stated at the outset.
So far, I've purchased and watched all 3 packages available, and look forward to the next. I intend to order the DVD so I have this material in my possession permanently.
I really appreciate this series! Alan has explained things in very clear ways, and I think he really took into account the fact that there are so many of us out there recording in bedroom "studios." Plus it's great to get to see such a master work at his craft right before your eyes!
The project is timely, well-conceived and of very high quality.
Perhaps the organization would consider a discount to those of us who essentially will have purchased the material twice--once in expiring download form, and then once again on the DVD.

Since downloads can be saved on your own computer we simply give you a window of time in which to actually make the download (7 days) from this site. If for any reason someone loses the material, or in any way needs to have them re-activated, we are completely OK with that and indeed this has happened from time to time. You most certainly do not ever need to re-purchase or purchase twice. That would be terrible! I really love this series, mainly because Alan is the one conducting the interviews and giving the benefit of his experience. I have a great deal of respect for him as an engineer, songwriter and performer. I think I played 'Dark Side of the Moon' and 'Tales of Mystery and Imagination' until the needle worked its way through the records. I was really excited when I learned this DVD was coming and have been anxiously waiting almost 44 months now!
I purchased streams of sections as well as downloads and would like to access them again. Will you please reactivate my purchases for me? Thank you!
