I've just read about the fact that the DVDs will be released with English, German and Spanish LANGAUGES. That's good, but I speak Italian and although it's easy for me to read English, it's not easy for me to understand spoken English.
So, it would be GREAT to have at least the written ENGLISH SUBTITLES too. I suppose that for a lot of not English speaking persons, like me, is easier to read English than to understand spoken English. Please, try to do all the possible. It would be REALLY appreciated!

That's an interesting request. I believe there may be 'space' for a running subtitle track that spells out the dialog but the script runs at over 700 pages so there are a LOT of words. I would not want to make any undertakings at this point but we'll do a bit of investigation.

I understand perfectly what Alan says. British English is very clear.
But I understand less than half what Billy Bob Thornton says. Which means I understand nothing, since the parts I understand aren't enough to make any sense.
:(
So... Huge disappointment for that!
Otherwise I've learnt some very interesting stuff, and the art of mixing is demystified. Things that I imagined much more complicated.
But I can't watch the DVD's anymore, it gets me completely mad not to understand what BBT is saying. Alan forgot to ask him not to keep a hot potatoe in his mouth while recording the voiceover... :-/

Oh no! Are you English? BBT does have a pronounced accent of course but not so much as to be unfathomable, we hoped! We will be making the script available in the new year so hopefully that will help.
please would be nice if it had the subtitles available in English or Spanish, I understand when I read, but it is hard to understand when is spoken.

I have done all kind of translations, and I know the music/tech lingo enough to do a neutral translation.

I'm Belgian and usually speaks French. I've never lived in an English environment, I read, write, speak and sing English pretty well (I've been told), but listening to spoken American English is not always easy.
If I were English, I'd have no problem understanding BB Thornton, like I can understand spoken Canadian French.
By the way is the script available on this website? I have not touched the box set since my post last year. The script would not only help me, it would SAVE me. :-D

The scripts are not online yet. We apologize for the delay, but they have not been fully transcribed from the final edits (we went through dozens of edits before finally printing the master). We hope to SAVE you soon!
